Hogwarts Chimeras Design Sheet

I uploaded this yesterday with a glaring mistake that we'll just pretend never happened. (Thanks so much, ~blue-nadir!) I fixed the mistake, so I am uploading it again.

The basic idea here is interschool Quidditch matches. A school assembles their own Quidditch team to duke it out with rival schools on the Quidditch pitch. It's kind of like a nationals or all-star league, where the best of the school teams come together on one team to represent their school as a whole. The Chimeras play for Hogwarts.

The basic idea behind the robe design is to keep it very house UNspecific. The robe outer is a deep navy blue and the lining is purple. Purple was a prime choice because no house claims that as one of their colors. (I had originally planned for the outside of the robe to be black, but decided against it because it resembled the general school robe too much, and the navy blue looked better with the purple).

Depsite that, I believe teammates would still want to give their house some sort of recognition. So each teammate gets stripes down their robe sleeves that indicate the house from which they hail (these stripes are shown on the right of the design sheet).

I realize the robe is much shorter than it's depicted in the films; this was done on purpose. The robes in the movies are ankle length, and that makes no sense to me. How can you fly around on a broom, playing a sport, with a long robe fluttering behind you? So I shortened the robes for better "aero-dynamics." Plus it's less for the opposing team to grab onto...

I picked the name 'Chimera' because the creature represents 2 of the four houses (tail of a serpent and body and/or head of a lion).

The kid depicted here is an original character of mine named Hayden. Obviously he plays for Slytherin!

Now I'm extremely tempted to design uniforms for other schools like Durmstrang.

There are so many people making design/character sheets on this site that it was impossible for me not to make some. They're so much fun, too!
